I first knew Mark when he was at the early stages in his Quality career but had already attained high levels being a release signatory on Engine Fan Blades, compressor Vanes and Blades. He had high levels of clearance through the CAA, FAA and Rolls Royce to name but a few.

I worked for Mark and he mentored not only myself but also some 60 other inspection or QA related personnel. In an environment where there was a high level of personnel doing the same role, Mark introduced a skill test, so that skills could be assessed and training needs developed and this also ran through the wage structure at the same time, so was very helpful.

I moved on from that business, taking with me what I had learnt as I developed myself, working in production, business growth and development. Some 17 years after leaving working with Mark, I was at a point of business start up with my current business partner. We had a low level machining and fabrication business with 4 employees. We had set our visions high and to be a major player in Aftermarket Motor Cycle crash protection and Aerospace Interiors on high end Galleys. We grew from circa £350K per annum to £1m per annum very quickly. and by chance one day I was reviewing my LinkedIn and saw Mark had just started his own consultancy company after working his way through senior management roles at other businesses but he also wanted to have his own business.

So I sent a message and 6 years on, we gained all our approvals at the first stage audit, we have grown to circa £4m per annum across 3 shifts and 2 sites. Mark has manged the Quality side of the business, interviewing candidates as needed and has also liaised now in the Health and Safety area for our business. 

Mark undertakes all of his roles with complete diligence and professionalism, he is a pro-active member of any team, not afraid to say it how it is, no matter how hard it may be to hear, you will hear the truth. Mark relishes any tasks and works as part of a team, leading the team or working within and will carry out task to completion, whilst maintaining an excellent work rate and also total professionalism, there are no corners he needs to cut.

We managed to secure Mark on a longer term contract and even through the recent Covid-19 times, Mark has been working in the background offsite regarding new legislation, making sure we do things right and are safe to carry on working.
